New England and Northern California, USA

You will practice being radically, unapologetically you in a community that celebrates you. We will practice being present with ourselves, our bodies and each other with exquisite honesty and gentleness. We will practice Queer Body Love.

We will draw from a tapestry of self-development woven with political consciousness raising work. We will come from principles of:

Respect

Consent

Joy

Agency

Radical Self Love

Who is this for?

We welcome all queer and questioning people whose gender is other than cis male. We welcome all queer bodies: trans bodies, thin bodies, old bodies, cis bodies, intersex bodies, gender non-conforming bodies, currently-abled bodies, fat bodies, disabled bodies, young bodies, bodies of any class, religion, spiritual tradition. While there's no way to guarantee that all bodies are represented, it is our intention to have a diverse & welcoming space. If you do not endeavor to be part of creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all then this is not the right event for you.**

We especially welcome you if you're wanting to shift your relationship to yourself in a loving community of queers.

** Thank you to M’kali-Hashiki of
FiercePassions
for this beautiful and eloquent invitation language.

About your facilitators

Elizabeth Cooper (she/her, left in the photo) founded Queer Body Love in 2015 to support queer folks heal from the way oppression disconnects us from our bodies and each other so that we can reclaim joy and power. She's led two QBL retreats so far and it's one of her favorite things in the world.

Crystal Mason (she/they, right in the photo) is joining Elizabeth to facilitate the November QBL retreat to bring wisdom of how to unpack unhelpful stories and re-imagine them so that we can become an active participants in creating the world we want. She has a delightful dreaming practice to support us in this goal. She's particularly interested in creating self-care / self-development spaces that welcome women of color and butches.
